Real time?

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Even better than that it's asynchronous WEGO.

Each side can give commands to their units only after set periods (these vary and change during the game based on all kinds of factors). So Sometimes you can give orders to your units faster than the enemy sometimes slower.
It works really well, and adds all kinds of tension to the game.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"
