Soviet update:

-Baltic sector: the enemy assembled forces of huge numerical superiority and attacked Riga. Our forces were forced to retreat temporarily.

-The Ukrainian sector: we achieved a victory near Odessa (nearly ten enemy artillery units destroied) plus crushed another enemy armoured group SE of Lvov.

-The Turkish Front: the Turkish Red Army has repulsed a enemy offensive towards Istanbul.

TASS also announces that Comrade Stalin has said the following: "It is strange that the Western Allies are not using the chance to bomb Germany although all the might of the German air pirates has been concentrated against the Soviet Union. Göring's cut-throats have concentrated many tens of fighter and bomber units to the Eastern front."

The British response is that we have already opened a second land front ahead of shedule and are tying down considerable land assets of the axis. Shall we abandon this to ramp up a strategic air campaign ?

We continue to conduct successful fighter sweeps over Western Europe, to the range limit possible with our fighter aircraft. As a result, the enemy has pulled back most of it's aircraft. Recent intel has shown extensive AAA over strategic sites in German control, they are expecting us, which will increase our losses and reduce our effectiveness.

Once the Americans can bring in their long range heavy bombers, we can accomodate them and take them with fighter escort almost to Berlin.

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

GERMANY- wonder how the British found out about our massive air defenses in the west, ummmm.....interesting. our research department is ready to announce our latest upgrade shortly. this will insure victory on both fronts and maybe even change the course of the war and end it sooner than planned.

The Red Army has no problem to deal with Axis land assets. It's the German fighters. There are at least about 50 of them in the East and with high level of experience. The Soviet industry is too weak to produce enough fighters to achieve superiority. Even if more or or less equal number is produced (on the expence of the land forces) they will be quickly shot down. I would need 150-200 fighters but to produce them would mean that the land forces will not get any significant reinforcements about half a year (the Soviet industry is way too weak when comapred to the historical situation).
Because of enemy air superiority I keep loosing 50plus infantry every turn, plus the losses of soft mobile and artillery.

that is why I did not face hardly any Soviet fighters this turn. faced a handful, but they were all shot down.

........NEWS FLASH.....GERMAN THEATER

Luftwaffe has now upgraded her fighter to level VI and is now in the process of mass producing them. the first 2 fighter groups equip with the new fighters will be out next turn. this turn saw more bombing/strafing runs against Soviet forces in the south in order to try and stop the soviet offensive. strafing runs were conducted in the north against soviet forces, since there were hardly any fighters to deal with. Next research upgrade will be forthcoming.

Italy news......

seems the British have begun an offensive in Spain, so we will see how that plays out. reinforcing forces in spain ASAP.....

Japan..... still playing this turn, should have it finished by later today or tonight. I will say, that more British fighters bit the dust as they say, along with several British destroyers. Japan did lose 5 torpedo bombers level 2, so there was that. It also appears the Americans have broken my blockade of the Philippines and so there is that. Pouring more forces into thai theater, arty strikes continuing.....

......NEWS FLASH.....

Japan has committed her main naval groups in conflict off the coast of Singapore with yet another victory for Japan. Air superiority was won again, but this time the British aircraft were few who were committed against us.

Our new fighters are insuring that we maintain control of the skies, and our new fighter bomber will soon enter service as will our new bombers. Confronted the Americans again, and won a minor victory. Having a hard time locating their subs, but the majority of our reinforcements from the mainland are making it to the Chinese and Thai fronts.

Soviet update.

-Our offensive in the Ukraine continues. SE of Lvov the Soviet tankers proved again that the German armoured troops are no match to the Red tankers.

-SW of Kiev the Red Army attacked the enemy fortified position. Unfortunately the Soviet infantry was too low in numbers to support the tankers effectively. In result we had to pull back after inflicting heavy casulaties to the invaders.

Independent observers note that the Soviet offensive in the Ukraine shows the signs of halting. The German numerical superiority there is still overwhelming although the Germans have suffered huge losses. The Soviets are unable to effectively replace their losses, partially because of complete enemy air superiority.

GERMANY - it appears that we maybe able to begin withdrawing some of our fighters to the west now and begin confronting the British. the Luftwaffe did strike a airbase outside London, but only caught a infantry unit out in the open, not their air force as i was hoping.

Our new fighters F-109G will be ready and fill 2 fighter groups next turn, they will be sent west instead of east. also it appears that my western command will have too be filled with replacements now, as the Italian front in Spain is becoming weakened. Cannot allow this front to fall. As I stated earlier now that we are producing level six fighters, our new research will change the course of the war even more....
