Unending bounties for recruits?

Unending bounties for recruits?

Turn after turn I'm paying gobs of money for recruits, ending up in negative territory for months at a time... this can't be WAD, can it?

It is a known bug which has been fixed in public beta patch already, and will be fixed in upcoming official patch.

Except it wasn't fixed, at least not in the 1.01 beta posted here that I downloaded three days ago (RC2, maybe?).

Guess I'm restarting ANOTHER game...

You should look for 1.01. RC4 in AGEOD forum. Public beta patches are posted there.
