Feature Request: Airfield/ Carrier Management

Post by MR_BURNS2 »

Would be very useful to be able to move readied aircraft around on the different base facilities to have a better control over their takeoff time.

For Carriers it would be nice if you could assemble the whole Strike package on deck temporarily, anywhere even on the landing strip, thereby blocking landings for the time being.
Just like they do it in real life, it would get the mission in the air much faster.
After the mission they should move back to their initial positions though, or maybe a position you assign them to.
Maybe even the foredeck/catapult area to recover many planes quickly.

Right now this is sometimes too lengthy, especially when there is only 1 elevator like on USS Oriskany.

I suppose this will be hard to program but it would be awesome.

This seems way too 'under the hood' for Command, which is an operational game. Perhaps a method of tagging 'priority' aircraft that are placed in quicker launch locations might work?

'Automatically move ready a/c to flight deck' is already on my to-do list [8D]

Thanks!
