Saving overlays?

Post by bigfootsf »

So I just tried making overlays with Gmap and importing them into a new Command scenario file. My head exploded with joy. Amazing.

However, I was exporting the PGW and PNG files to the desktop, and then throwing them away when I was done. I began to suspect the game was not going to save those overlays without the PGW/PNG files, and I was right. I quit the game, restarted and opened the scenario file, and they were gone.

Is it possible to save the overlays somewhere so that they'll open again when I open the scenario file?

Hello,

Currently overlays are always saved outside of the scen file and must be manually loaded when you play it.

We have the embedding of overlays (and other data) as a request on our running poll; if you wish it to receive higher priority bump it with your vote [:)]

Thanks!
