I’ve been doing a little long range strike mission planning with the U.S. Navy’s aircraft (Retire USN Aviation Ordnanceman) and I’ve ran across a problem with the U.S. Navy’s KA-6D. I can’t get it to act as a tanker while assigned to that mission within its own tanker track. Aircraft needing fuel have had to tank off an adjacent KC-130F/T in another nearby track. In addition to not tanking, its tanker configuration isn’t proper identified within the database. It’s currently identified as having a “Generic buddy store” when it doesn’t need one (it can use one thought), it has on already built in. I additionally compared the KA-6D's config to the KC-130 F/T and neither of them are identified as having a “store”, just the drogue. As you can see the below photo, the "Tanker package" is mounted where the "bird cage" (physically above centerline tank) normally was and is a Permanently installed part of the aircraft, whereas the D-704 centerline "buddy store" is loaded on Station 3 and could be swapped out with a normal drop tank.
