Artillery impacts tough to see

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Artillery impacts tough to see

Post by Monkie »

I hate to open a new thread just for this but I have found that sometimes I have a hard time seeing where the artillery is impacting.

The effect looks great but might it help to highlight the hex a bit? I sometimes find myself looking all over the map just to find the impact zone only to just catch the tail end or missing it completely.

maybe it's just my old tired eyes.

Monkie,

My eyes aren't what they used to be either and it can get confusing to track the shots at times. I'll add this to the enhancements wish list for use to review.

Thanks for the report!

We found out last night there was something not working with a bit of code that "flashed" the target hex of a number of things like arty strikes or located air search radars, HQs etc. We will be testing that fix today as well. We will see if this helps this issue.
