Checking LOS?

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Checking LOS?

Post by KenPortner »

Is there a way to check LOS from a hex without one of your units already in it?

I tried clicking on a hex then hitting ctrl-L but that didn't work. Thanks.

With the check LOS tool active, hold down the shift key and click on an empty hex. It will give you the basic LOS from that location.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Would be nice to see the LOS area with a mouse-click:
Example:
The player clicks on a hex and the visible hexes (only limited by terrain !) would then be highlighted.
Otherwise it is hard to guess, what my troops will see, when they arrive in a certain hex.
