how do i cancel missions

Post by tommo8993 »

I'm trying to play the falklands scenario, pincer. However my carrier group just keeps spitting out random aircraft and whenever i order them to go somewhere they just go back to their pre selected missions. How do I cancel the missions.

Not familiar with the scenario, but this might be overall gameplay behaviour, so pls take into consideration:

1/ When a unit or group is selected press "U" to unassign it from a previously set mission
2/ Alternative is to go to the mission editor and mark the mission as "inactive" if that makes more sense in the resp situation
3/ Right click on unit or group and see if "Ignore plotted path while attacking" or somesuch is checked/unchecked. It also influences reaction - or the lack thereoff - to manual course settings.

Hope that helps,

You can press "U". Its the hotkey for unassign.

The problem Im finding with this is that even when I unassign a platform from a mission, it still keeps his targets and my "Disengage - drop all targets" option is grayed and I cant use it, and I dont know why...
