Hey you know me; I honestly can't fill 4-6 hours with an editor tutorial heh! Also I've received another request to return to Operation Lightning Strike here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMJjDCdhxV8

Editor Tutorial comes first though; I want to get that done because I think there really isn't enough info out there on the internet about the editor's more technical features. I'm not going into the XML platform editing though, that stuff is complicated!

5 hours till the stream!

Hi Baloogan,

thanks for session last, I enjoyed all of it. It did make obvious, that there is good reason for you to continue with the stream. Pretty soon, it'll be analogous to having a cup of tea\coffee in the morning.[:D]

Hi BKLANDIN, Thanks for tuning in!

I've also figured out why last night's stream wasn't working so well: the hard drive I stream to locally crashed! I also had my pagefile on that drive, which is why I was having so much computer trouble. I've been working on recovering Episode 6 from that drive all night; and I think I've been successful. If everything works I should have Episode 6 Part 1 up on YouTube at some point today!

Sorry to hear that. I've been waiting for you to uploade the episodes. I trust that you have a good handle on getting your stuff back, it is a lot of work, The problem for you will be due to the "overwritting" as you progressed through the stream last night. I use "Kernel for Windows Data Recovery" and "Recuva" for those types of problems.
But it takes a long time depending on hardware and deep scanning, then deciding how to proceed with the recovery. Good luck. It might not be too bad, but like I said the drive was still being used so stuff definately got overwritten. Damn.

I've got backups [:)] I've had disks fail so often at work that I now expect drives to fail.

I was trying to recover the disk last night as I slept but no dice (woke up to a bluescreen). Right now I'm downloading the records that twitch.tv keeps.

Good to hear. I have Acronis and it has saved me more than one. After a while, everyone learns the hard lessons of not backing up.[:D]

Baloogan, during the session, can you call out your keys, key combinations, right or left click methodology? It will help those of us, who have not advanced as far as you, and speed up our development. Thanks.

Sure will do!

Also an update on the backup: recovery successful! The most important thing to remember about computers is that sometimes they break and you need to prepare for that.

Agree. Or should I just say "01"? The back recovered is good news. I will be watching for those videos over this week. And thank you.

Hi Baloogan,
close to update time for the stream if you're still going to include other sites like Subsim. Promise I won't bug you about that(site notices) anymore, but 'm looking
forward to whatever you continue bring on the weekends.[:D]

Hey BKLANDIN,

Please promise you will keep reminding me of that [:)]. Its very easy for me to lose track of everything. This whole endeavor is a team effort! [:D]

This week's episode will feature Custom Overlays and a database image auto-updater program.

As soon as I get home from work I'll post everywhere.

Hey Wargamers!

Episode 7 will focus on how to use Command's Custom Overlay feature as well as an Image Database updater, which will make it easier to add new images to Command.
