Scoring inconsistency ?

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Hi, look at the pic below.
My VP% is 61.714 % (if I compute the exact value) so it's correctly rounded to 62%.
But when I look at the scoring table, 62% should be a marginal loss. However the game awards me a Contested battle.
I guess there might be a little rounding error somewhere...

JudgeDredd over at Grogheads noticed an issue with the scoring changing during the game. That bug has been located and stepped on. Hopefully that will fix what you are seeing too. I'll also pass this along to Rob to see if we have a bad > or >= issue in the end game at those break points.

JudgeDredd..another forum member along with Undercovergeek that hardly posts here any more..I miss them. Wouldn't even know they have the game. Wonder if he bought Command:MANO as he wasn't happy with Command Ops price and refused to buy it..sorry going off on a tangent here.

Maybe the result should be displayed rounded with one decimal (e.g. 61.7% in my case above). This would ease the comparison with triggers and avoid frustration if someone makes the calculation by hand ...

We just need to make sure the score are 1) stable and 2) the logic is in the correct direction and all should be well.

Figure this is related, the victory levels are supposed to be the same when you replay the same scenario..right. i played a time to dance twice and reloaded a near end game save and played to finish also and each time the levels for victory were different. First time i scored 48% which was a contested result, the second time [in the screenshot] i scored 31%, the victory levels have changed. Then i reloaded an end game save from the second play through and played to the end again and scored 50%+ it was a contested battle and the scoring levels were different again.

A slight correction to my earlier statement. The scoring bug has been located and WILL be stepped on for the 2.02 update. We are testing and releasing 2.01 to Matrix Monday for their packaging and testing for release to you on the 23rd if all goes to plan. We will be working this issue for a quick turn after that. Sorry for any confusion. It's been a long weekend! [;)]
