Artillery firing toward its rear

In Fulda Frontier of Freedom, at the 1st turn resolution phase (hotseat), an American artillery has bombed his own troops (see below). May be a bug?

I sent you a PM (the forum doesn't seem to accept sav files).

I did the same thing (hotseat, ending the first turn without giving any orders) and got the same results :
two American artilleries firing at hex 411 (don't remember exactly the hex code).
