Amphibious warfare

Post by Kallekula »

Hello

What an awesome simulation, I love it!

But: I would like to load an amphibious ship with troops, vehicles and stores and use LCAC and Helos to transport them inland and offload and have helo or LCAC cycle back to pick up the next load and repeat the process.

I have not been able to offload any troops at all so that could be a good start. My helo is carrying a unit of marines but how do I offload them?

Thanks for any input.

/cheers

ATM you have to 'teleport' the units in

how this is done automatic, when your transport(s) enters a DZ or LZ, which you have predefined with reference points, is shown in one of Baloogan's videos:

...dont worry the units actually shown in the transport are not just placeholders!
IIRC, i once had some early sandbox-toying-around-setup, where Marines were shooting from a moving chopper on terrorist ground units... but their MG fire did not much damage to them.

I would also really like to have this as a part of the game!
