Shredding a sock puppett

Post by AW1Steve »

I normally don't do AAR's , I find them annoying to do, and there's usually not a lot to learn from my play , with the possible exception of "don't ever do what Steve does". [:D]

This one is a little different. It's going to be a pair of "mirror games ", and they will be some what open , they are intended to "mentor" a UNKNOWN "alleged newbie". So I'll be doing a pair of these , back to back. I'm not going to ask my mystery opponent to bow out , quite the opposite , I'm inviting him to read and comment.

The scenario will be as short as it gets , Coral Sea. So finesse and grand strategy don't really work. As the Japanese (this thread) I intend to be as subtle as a chain saw.
It's debated that Nathan Bedford Forrest said "get there fustust with the mostest". Regardless of the comments origin, that's my intention. I'm collecting all my CV's warships , transports and aircraft (collecting troop from non-engaged bases) and doing a tactic from the Marx brothers (Horse Feathers) called "Hey-diddle-diddle-straight -up-the-middle". [:D] A brute force , all in one battering ram assault. As this is just turn one , I'll let you know as it goes , how it goes. As a good friend and PBEM partner would say "Later Dudes". [:D]

There should be an off-map exit with that scenario so the US carriers can get away after they do their worst. There's nowhere to hide. I recommend you use the editor to place about 200 P-40s at Sydney or Noumea so you can duck under that umbrella. [;)]
