Targeting

my surface group was under attack by a submarine firing torps and missles. Due to the amount of hardware Even when zooming in could not assign the crosshairs ove the sub and then access a unit to attack it. Is there any way of targeting the sub by any other means such as highlighting it and then assigning a unit to attack it?

Jokco you can click and drag a box over it and it sould chose it.

Select one unit, press F1, hold left mouse button and drag to make a box, your unit will attack every enemy in this zone.

spacebar and backspace key will cycle through visible units on the screen

Not sure I'm understanding exactly what you're asking...but what it sounds like you're saying is that the unit symbols are too close together (even on highest zoom) for you to pick out the exact unit you want to target.

I've yet to experience that situation, but assuming you have some extremely crowded edge case, you can always elect to manually attack an array of units (left click, drag and select) and then specify the EXACT unit you wish to attack in the weapons allocation dialog...
