Unable to give orders

Playing Fulda Frontier of Freedom, in mid-game, at the beginning of my orders phase I am unable to access the units. Is that a massive WP EM jamming or just a program error? Save game attached.

Panta, I downloaded your saved game and could not duplicate this. I could give orders to all units. Did you try reloading the saved game file? If so, were you able to give orders or was it still locked?

I skipped that turn and continued with the same result. When relading it id continued the same. Then I quit the game and restarted and things went normally.

I have had similar experience with more than one scenario -- at some point during play I can't give orders to units, or units can only move backward, or artillery can't shoot where the enemy is, etc. Not every scenario or every time, and I haven't established a pattern yet, but this is a real issue.

Thanks for the report Chet. We need a pattern if you can find one. Are you playing with limited orders?

One more thing, what does the cursor look like when you are unable to give orders? Is is a "cross" or the typical arrow. If you don't click on the unit after issuing orders and try to click on another unit, it won't work. Some people in the past didn't realized that they had not properly set the last orders that they gave and it appeared that that they were locked out of giving any additional orders when it was that they had not properly set and cleared the last orders given.

Not playing with limited orders. But I do note that if I exit the game completely, then restart the saved game, it works again. Is it possible there is some conflict in where the game stores unit status flags, or the like so that it "runs out of" something? (I'm not a game designer nor am I knowledgeable about how the system manages data, but seems as if a fresh start of the game must reset something...

I'll try some of this again and try to document when it all starts to happen. Will let you know. I love the game, and bugs like the subunit inspector disappearing screen, and this issue with giving orders are nuisance things I hope you can resolve.
