R&D and other things ...

This forum supports the Early Access Program for the PC for Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager (SPM). iOS, Android and Mac releases are still in development. When assigning personnel to the R&D screen I notice that if you move them around and have the best in the first slot to last in decreasing ability the R&D rate increases. Is this WAD ? (working as designed)

I haven't read the manual but it seems a bit silly unless you are making out that the first slot is lead developer etc ...

[edit] On another note - I see that when assigning that sometimes the scientist skill is highlighted and at other times not. I'm sure this is the ability that is required to help in the R&D process but it might be nice to also see what is required from each component as part of the R&D screen. Also, are additional skills required or just one for each component?

[edit#2] A bit too much clicking to go to another mission's R&D - I count 7 at least or exiting the building and coming back is quicker ?

[edit#3] should be able to go to the R&D screen from the "program selection screen" if the mission is already open.

[edit#4]Maybe I should open a new thread about this but it is about the VAB. What is the point of this building being clickable when it is just a place-holder for delayed vehicle assembly that you can do when assigning a mission? I'm a little disappointed that this is not more like BARIS, where there were configuration changes that could be made. At present this just seems to rail roaded for me. It may be pleasant to watch the correct animations but game play is being compromised for this.

[edit#5]Having to cancel a mission (which sometimes is bugged too) because I was stupid enough not to go to the extended missions and then having to reassign the mission again. In BARIS, I'm pretty sure you could upgrade or downgrade a mission as you wanted. Would be nice here too.

[edit#6] Having to reassign flight controllers instead of just keeping what you have from season to season is annoying. I can see why there should be an option to change it... just not have to click through each time.

[edit#7} Have to be able to close missions. This cluttering is annoying and unproductive. I guess when the history building is present they can be shoved off there.

Indeed, yes, the leftmost slots have a better influence in the outcome. We will need to tweak the UI to make it more clear, but yes, it's WAD.

Regarding the other stuff you mentioned: notes taken and added to the list of comments. Keep the feedback coming [:)]
