Leader slow down to regroup

Post by Figeac »

There is a check box for it when you select a group, but does it work? For me, it is always checked, but when I order my group to change course and all group units needs to take new stations, for example, they end up on a completely different formation because the leader doesn't slows down (even if the right side information bar says that he is slowing down to wait for the others) and the other units don't go faster then the leader. So I need to manually slow the leader speed or set the whole formation again using F4...

For myself, I have noticed that if you have given a override speed to a group, sometimes (maybe always not followed it up more), all of the group members have the manual speed checked, and therefore they wont change their speed respective to the leader. I let the group "followers" have automatic speed, and just left the leader at my desired speed. They then seem to be able to speed up to reform. Conversely when this happens, I don't see the leader trying to slow even though the appropriate checkbox is checked.
