[Resolved]Trouble with "Unit is auto-detectable" check box

I'm playing around with designing a Cuban missile crisis scenario in build 451 and am having some trouble with the "unit is auto-detectable" check box. It works fine when I place units individually, but when I import facilities from a file, it doesn't seem to work at all. I'd like to make some Cuban fixed facilities auto-detectable while others have to be manually spotted but when I try to check the box, nothing seems to happen. Is this some quirk of the editor I don't understand or a bug of some sort?

Can you please explain your UI actions in greater detail? A step-by-step would be great. Thanks!

I think that I have seen this before, and it actually was because bases are ?always? auto-detectable, so to make a part of it require the player to detect it, you must separate that part from the base. (Correct me if that is wrong, D )
