News?

Piercing Fortress Europa is a new game from veteran game designer Frank Hunter, which covers the campaigns of the Western Allies from July, 1943 through the end of April, 1945 in Sicily and Italy. Each area has its own map and time scale to best represent the campaigns for Sicily and Italy and the player is offered complete freedom, limited only by a historical order of battle and logistics model, to plan his operations and explore all of the many “what ifs” that the Italian theater has to offer.

Any more word on this; mechanics, screenshots, scenarios etc.

Comparing the existing screenshots to the classic AH boardgame 'Anzio', the mapscale appears slightly bigger, so fewer hexes but covers the whole of Italy.
Cheers

Hi guys,

The game is coming along well and is in final testing, but due to an abundance of releases and the upcoming Historicon, we've moved it back a bit to late Summmer in the release schedule. As a result, you'll be seeing more promotion on other titles first, then much more on this after Historicon.

Regards,

- Erik

Looking forward to this. Played every one of Frank's games from RFSTA 2 on and have never been disappointed.

EDIT LOL Just remembered I played original RFSTA around 93 - 20 years of gaming goodness!

Hi guys,

We have this scheduled for Q1 2014, probably early in Q1. Testing has been ongoing through the year and Frank has been fixing bugs and polishing gameplay.

I'm a playtester and having fun with the game. Testing continues and it's getting closer. I don't want to say much more right now. Later, perhaps we can start posting more comments, screenshots, AARs, etc.
