Congrats on a job well done, Dogma One. I just got the game and finished Hunting Bear, the first campaign scenario last night. Looking good so far as my performance for the first scenario mirrors your own.

Here is my results:

Greetings from the Inspectorate of the General Staff -

To: General, commanding Hell On Wheels

* In the battle of "US Campaign" your forces worth 19,045 points secured 70% (23295 vs 9881) of awarded victory points against an enemy force worth 21,862 points. The Inspectorate congratulates you and rates your performance as excellent.

* Your force has claimed 26 Recce, 220 Tank, 82 APC, 29 Inf, 1 SP AT, 22 HQ, 8 AD and 32 Utility enemy subunits.

* Remaining force tally -
Active: 27 Recce, 74 Tank, 58 APC, 28 Inf, 30 HQ, 19 AD, 18 SP Arty, 9 Utility and 2 Air.
Fallen out: 9 Recce, 16 Tank, 35 APC, 41 Inf, 4 HQ and 3 AD.
Destroyed: 2 Tank, 9 APC, 3 Inf and 2 HQ.

* By the end of the battle your units had a 79% average readiness and a command cycle duration of 39 minutes.

* Your force finished the encounter in relatively good shape and needs to refit for only a relatively short time to recover the 108 fallen out subunit(s).

Staff evaluation complete.

Estimated subunit states at present time:

- American Forces:
2&1/2-Ton Truck [w] - 2 starting.
A-10 Warthog - 2 starting.
Cavalry Scout - 14 starting, 4 fallen out.
Headquarters - 16 starting, 1 destroyed.
Heavy MG - 18 starting, 13 fallen out.
HMMWV-HMG - 4 starting.
M1 Abrams - 5 starting, 1 fallen out.
M1026 HMMWV - 7 starting.
M106A2 - 6 starting.
M109A6 Paladin - 8 starting.
M110A2 - 4 starting.
M113A1 - 10 starting, 3 fallen out, 2 destroyed.
M163A2 Vulcan - 8 starting.
M1A1 Abrams - 59 starting, 2 fallen out.
M1A1(HA) Abrams - 28 starting, 13 fallen out, 2 destroyed.
M2A1 Bradley [m] - 92 starting, 32 fallen out, 7 destroyed.
M3A1 Bradley [m] - 14 starting, 4 fallen out.
M48A1 Chaparral - 8 starting, 2 fallen out.
M577A2 C2V - 20 starting, 4 fallen out, 1 destroyed.
Mechanized Rifle - 54 starting, 28 fallen out, 3 destroyed.
OH-58A Kiowa - 4 starting, 1 fallen out.
Stinger - 6 starting, 1 fallen out.

I would say that about 60-70% of my casualties was to the damnable artillery. It was relentless and a source of constant frustration.

A difference to your scenario was that I counterattacked with a company of Abrams and company of Bradleys through the northern most route through the heavy forest and actually reclaimed the northeast most VP square and was engaging enemy forces north of Steinbeck from the north. I also had another counterattack going through the south from Tostedt and they very nearly reclaimed Holm-Seppensen (they were just short of the radius at game end to give me the VP)

After your experience with scenario 2, I am not looking forward to the cloud of Hind attack helicopters as my experience from the tutorial scenario is that those things are a royal pain in the ass to deal with.

Again, well done.

Well done, BlackMoria. I'm glad that you followed my battle-plan, and telling me its work well against Soviet Horde. :)
