Production screen error?

Post by gap23518 »

I downloaded the game and had no problems...seemed to go very smooth! I played around with the interface and watched some tutorials as well as started playing Barbarosa. All seems well except for the production screen which is missing some buttons on the bottom as well as having the middle chart (which displays the resources on a scroll) overlapping the top info area...for example I cant see anything on the total resources line and on down. The buttons "skip maj power" and "finalize production" are missing along with some of the allied powers buttons/graphics (no mine/oil graphic)
Just wondering if anyone else has these glitches on the production screen. I cant move the middle screen at all as its fixed.
Had a late night w/ the game so maybe a fresh install?
thanks....

What is your screen resolution?

1 - The program needs the full 768 pixels vertically for dozens of forms. If you have the Windows Taskbar at the bottom of your monitor (or top), it may be covering the missing portion of the form. To fix that you need to set your Taskbar to Hidden. I always have the Windows Taskbar hidden - it pops up whenever I hover the cursor over it.

2 - Another possibility is if you are using two monitors and they are different sizes. But I won't get into explaining that unless it is your situation.

Thanks for that response. Its just that one screen...the production screen. The middle screen that displays resources and is scrollable overlaps the top overview screen and cuts off the bottom 2 lines of info on that screen. So I cant see such info as how much oil I need to reorganize a unit (I got that info that im missing from the tutorial regarding production). All other parts of the game (forms and maps) scale perfectly. My screen resolution is 1920x1080. My taskbar is hidden.
Thanks again...

I have no idea why this form looks this way. One of the beta testers also reported this problem today.

I just ran the Fast Start game using version 1.0.1 and got this on my computer.

What size/make/model is your monitor(s)? I don't know how that would create this effect, but more data can't hurt at this point. It's the flags that confuse me the most. They are only shown with the border when there are two players and one of them shouldn't have the border.

What phase of the game are you in? What optional rules? [I'm grasping at straws here].

Ooo, I have an idea.[X(]

The font sizes in your Resources List look too large (compare them to the ones in my screenshot). Have you set Windows to use larger font sizes as a default? Perhaps changing back to using 'normal' font sizes will fix this. If that's the problem, I can work on having the program prevent the problem permanently.

Yeah I am thinking it is the font size issue, set it to a smaller size and reload to check.
Looking forward to playing my favorite board game WIF on the computer.

THAT WAS IT! font size was medium and I put it back to small and its back on track....game looks better too! I never would have thought of that so thanks!
curse these eyes of mine which required larger fonts!
Just let me say I got the game last night and was going to play around with it for a "few minutes". I started playing around with it about 1am and the next thing I knew it was 5am!
I know its off topic but money well spent...even with the larger fonts.
Again....thanks!
