The attack on Antwerp was successful but costly. Germany started the 2D10 attack at +11.6 and made the fraction for a +12 then rolled a 7 for a 19 final value. That cost 2 German units lost, they were both Divisions, and 2 more units disorganized.

A couple of unused German Ftr planes have rebased forward

In China the situation is stable with insufficient units on both side to pursue further attacks at this time.

In Manchuria there are a few Japanese watching out for equally few Russian units, both sides wary of losing units there.

At present there is a 15% partisan risk in China

Germany moves to consolidate their position in Belgium, knocking out the just arrived Mil in Brussels and moving units to the french border. Other units are moving south from Poland and entering the just aligned Hungary.

Japan attacks just east of Si An and knocks out a Communist Gar unit at a cost of all the Japanese forces becoming disrupted. An attack in the South of China works better and kills a Nationalist Inf unit.

Italy again moves out air and NAV to the West Med to worry the CW fleet still there.

The Allied impulse sees the CW reset the naval presence and increase the CV air power in the W Med.
The French uses their new arrival units to beef up the front to Belgium.
The Communist Chinese scramble to hold Si An, they are thin.

There was an engagement in the N Sea this impulse. Both sides lost a CL sunk and a CA damaged after which the Germans aborted back to Kiel.

The next Axis impulse rolls 7 for weather, snow and rain results and this will stop the German advance cold.

Germany and Japan take land actions and consolidate their lines. Japan has to be wary of partisans since their free garrison value has been lowered.

The port attack is being set up. There was only moderate surprise, Italy rolled a 2, Cw used 4 points to reduce the Italian AA fire. There are still potential CW CVP losses from the AA fire lowest 1 of 4 die rolls. The expected Italian losses are 2 destroyed and some aborts but that may change due to the AA fire.

Naval combat is next, Cw can initiate naval combat in the three areas shown in the form. The searches may or may not be successful.
The units in hex form on upper right shows the ships in the West Med, the cursor was in that area.

None of the three possible naval combat made contact, all failed to find.

The next impulse, for the Axis encounters severe winter weather, they will have a hard time making any progress.

With bad weather, the German attack on Yugoslavia has to be postponed. Japan will work in reducing the partisan risk by moving units out of ZOC. Italy flies another fighter to the W Med in hopes of damaging the CW ships.

The search rolls 2 for Italy and 7 for the CW lets the Italian choose whether to knock out a single CW convoy or to try to knock out a few CW carrier planes since the Italian Fighters are stronger then these Carrier planes as Fighters. Italy in the 1 box found even in rain because they got bonuses from the CW convoy and from the Italian NAV.

Italy will go for the air to air combat.

Italy used 2 of their 3 surprise points to increase their own air rating by one to a +2 versus the CW -1

The Italians shot down the front and strongest CW plane and their NAV was cleared thru. The CW then aborted to the sea area and the NAV made its strafing run but it was deflected for no damage to the CW ships.
Both sides stay, and for a second round the CW has 3 surprise points.

IN the second run the NAV was again cleared thru but caused no damage. There was another search but no none found

In Cape Vincent the CW managed to sunk an Italian SUB with no CW losses.

The start of the Jan/Feb turn has only seen minor adjustments to positions.
Japan shipped new additional infantry units to China and prepares to attack in southern areas later on.
Germans had a skirmish in tne North Sea and sunk a CW old battleship and aborted a convoy in stormy weather. German ships remain at sea there.

Japanese stratbombing in China did not cause any damage.

The Allies relax during hard winter weather. CW takes a naval action to redress their convoy and defense lines at sea. France ships an Infantry unitfrom Algeria to France.
The CW conducts several searches in the Mediterranean but fails to find any Italian shipping.

Ge and Jap land, Italy combined.

A bit of a winter thaw but not enough to get the Germans moving again, they rest. In China the Japanese lands additional reinforcements and storm a mountain hex in the south. The attack with engineer help and HQ support on a disorganized Chinese unit was at a respectable +14 and worked fine.

Italy ships reinforcements to Tobruk and Bardia in preparations for a move on Egypt.
