Like my first scenario, this is different than what some folks have been posting. It's a fairly simple scenario from the gameplay point of view, but has lots and lots of documentation, messages, background and a few other bells and whistles. It's got a lot more story telling to it. Some folks might like it, for others, it might not be their cup of tea. Here's part of the Scenario Description:
During October of 1960 the on again, off again war between the Peoples Republic of Palmyra Atoll (PRPA) and the Kingdom of Jarvis Island (KJI) was on again, but a stalemate of sorts had been reached. The United Nations had stepped in to quell the violence of the air strikes that each nation had been periodically launching against the other. To achieve this they established no fly zones around each island for the other nation; breaching the zone would bring the full weight of many ships and planes down upon the perpetrator.
For the government of the PRPA this could not have come at a worse time. The armed forces of the KJI are desperately short of petroleum products and this would give the government of the PRPA an enormous bargaining chip in negotiations. However, the KJI has contracted for the delivery of a large amount of various oil products which will be arriving by tanker. The ship, the SS Big Oil, was seen leaving Brisbane, Australia several days ago. It was being escorted by several warships of the KJI, ships transferred from friendly nations on long term loans. It is up to you as the commander of the PRPA armed forces to stop the arrival of this tanker.
The download includes several files, as explained in the Read Me First file, which you should of course read first [:)].
This scenario requires CWDB_399 which came with Build 460, which you should also use.
Also available are two custom overlays for the two tiny islands in question. The overlays are in a zip here. The download is from Dropbox and is about 30 MB. The custom overlays are NOT required to play the scenario.
As I said, this scenario might not be for everyone, but I like it [;)]. Please post any problems you might have with it in this thread. Since this scenario doesn't "run on rails" it's possible to approach it a number of ways; let me know if you came across an interesting one.
