I love submarines. It's no surprise that my books are mostly about them.

As many of us, and for years:
1 - Modern Submarine Warfare (Salamander Books-1987)
2 - Modern Naval Combat (Salamander Books-1986)
3 - Many books of the Conway's series, basically Conway's all the World Fighting Ships 1860-1905, 1906-1921, 1922-1946, and 1947-1995. And many oddities, as "The World's Worst Warships".
4 - The Naval Institute Press series of Norman Friedman "US Battleships (or Aircraft Carriers, or Destroyers, or Submarines, or Small Combatants), an Illustrated Design History".
5 - The Jane's series of books (at the current time I own copies of the annuaries of 1919, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1940, 1942, 1953, 1981, 2002 and 2004).
Another interesting not mentioned book is "October Fury", by Peter A. Hutchtausen, Wiley & sons 2002, about the Cuban Missile Crisis.

And only in Spanish, but I know it's a surprising high number of Spanish-speaking people on these naval simulation related sites:
"Historia Naval de la Gran Guerra 1914-1918" (first edition 1935), a very comprehensive history of all the WWI in the sea. With some material errours, it's a incredible good and vivacious reading.
The author, Mateo Mille García de los Reyes, was a Spanish Armada officer (Capitán de Corbeta), nephew of the Admiral Mateo García de los Reyes (A pioneer of the Spanish Armada submarine branch), he was also Spanish correspondent of Jane's Fighting Ships (you can see his name in the photos of the Spanish Armada section of the WWI Jane's), and was murdered in the early months of the Spanish Civil War in the Paracuellos Massacre with his uncle (a action very similar to the Katyn Massacre, and also relationed with the Communist Party): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paracuellos_massacre
This book is a expanded variant of his earlier "Los Titanes de la Mar" (1932), but including the Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Mesopotamia theaters of operations.
"Los Titanes de la Mar" was one of my first and scarce early readings, many times repeted, and cause of my interest by naval matters (My old 1932 edition has the seals of the library of the destroyer Alcalá Galiano, from where was leased by my grand-father before his demise in submarine C-3).
The "Historia Naval de la Gran Guerra" re-edition is now a affordable book (28 euros), and for me of important reading for Spanish readers with interest in naval history.
