My remarks:

1-Budget must be adjusted. May be small margin to fails when start but oversized and huge last seasons.
2-Some missions with doubtful use; Biosatellite, Micrometeroids, Mars II, you can achieve best results with others missions and do not risk.
3-Prestige must be adjusted in some ways. It's weird that a success with uncrewed one person capsule had a equal prestige as crewed. Indeed, i think the prestige is excesive, you only had problems with him if fails the first missions, after that is a placid plain.
4-Again (as i said in other post), some rockets had a very step curve (Saturn I, Thor-Able, Atlas).

There will be a great game, i'm sure. Happy funny playing.

Regards.

When I play, I estimate that the goals can be achieve with around 6 - 7 years late compare to the reality.

So maybe the first steps should have a better research rate to allow sooner launch.

Because in the actual configuration, moon landing in 1969 will be impossible.

Also, to add to the delay, the gemini project cannot be started unless all mercury goals are fullfilled, in the reality, the research start in 1961 just after the mercury suborbital flight.
The goals needed to start Gemini should be changed, as well as the needed goals for mercury regarding to the X15 project.

Nicely done, easier to see wath need to be tweaked.
I agree with Fremen that it needed earlier trigger to start later programs and the size of your reasearch force should be the limiter.

Very nice Fremen [:)]

Notice that tomorrow (fingers crossed) we'll be releasing SPM v. 0.7.5 and I've changed the RD system completely. More info on this on tomorrow's update.

I agree that at the moment the values need further tweaking. When I showed the game to Slitherine nearly two years ago, it was a lot more simpler, there were no personnel management and the RD system was more similar to BARIS. I also had a tool in order to simulate the game via scripts and everything was tuned so that you could actually achieve things in the game roughly by the same date that happened in real life (e.g., man in space in 1961, moon landing in 1969, etc). Now that the game has a lot more moving parts, we'll need to tweak everything again in order to get sensible values.

My plan is to cleanup the internal tools I use in order to generate the data scripts and release them as part of a patch so that you guys can play with them. Unfortunately it might take a few more days, since I'm working on many fronts at the moment!

Looking forward to the new patch and RD system.

Perhaps one adjustment to allow a closer approximation of the historical progress would be to have 4 seasons per year? All the manned missions from this period would still fit into one season; even the longest Skylab mission was only 81 days.
Thanks,
Stilicho

Well, obviously the better form to testing the game is with a new batch of changes.
The promised change to use the buildings, with the increased expenses put together, also will be a different and hard budget management. If we see (fingers crossed) new missions...[;)]
