It's all the fault of us Gulf Coast southrons. It's 82 and I'm out and about in shorts a flip-flops. The warm and humid (pregnant with moisture) air from the Gulf is pushing North. The Canadian/Arctic high pressure air mas is pushing South (jet stream delivery). Where they collide is gonna be destitively whackaroo.

Mass times velocity times differential potential energy. Physics still rules. Energy, unfortunately, takes many kinetic forms, and where E=big, it's duck and cover time.

No, I am neither a meteorolgist nor a climatoligist. Just a simple long-distance, off-shore, sailboat racer that needs to understand weather patterns and what they are likely to do.

[ed] But I do think that me and Sandra Bullock (if she's agreeable) could generate sufficient, low-level, local heat to disturb/dilute the N/S air mass collision in a local radius. If you are on the line of the Front, please call Sandra and tell her she has an opportunity to save many lives, within your region's radius. I'm sure she will thank you. I will thank you, too [8D]
