Auto-updater not working

Have tried to use the auto-updater from the splash screen.

1. After clicking on 'check for updates' it tells me I'm already using the latest version
2. Click on 'Play'
3. Game launches and title bar shows version 1.02
4. Launch scenario (any) and go to Help > About the programme. It shows version 1.02
5. Reboot
6. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

hi had the same issue

indeed when i launched the updater i had an error message telling me that one file was already in use and could not be deleted, i skipped the error and continue the upgrade to the end. then the updater told me i had the last version but the game was still in 1.0.2.

to solve the issue you have to kill all the process related to wif, uninstall the game and install it again (takes 5 minutes).
all your saved games are kept (use the same destination folder).
after the reinstallation proceed to the game update and it should work perfectly.
