How do I download the scenarios from the Warefare Sims site?

Whilst this looks like the most stupid question ever posed on these forums I would appreciate some help, please.

First I think the game is superb as is the general level of support but the warfaresims site.......

WTF do you have to do to download the scenarios and the DB3000 description files?

I've downloaded the DB3000 images successfully and also the CWDB stuff along with Stalintc's icons but I've tried unsuccessfully to load down the DB3000 descriptions and the scenario files. I've tried with and without download accelerators, and three different browsers, and all I keep getting is another page containing a list of the files contained within the (apparantly) non existent zip files that purport to be on the site. In the case of the scenarios file, which has recently been updated, I tried before and after the update with the same (unsuccessful) result.

I've asked the moderator and been studiously ignored.

Has anyone cracked this problem please and, if so, how?

Hello,

You can either download the scenarios individually (they have links on the right side of each line), or you can download the entire pack in one go: on the menu just under the title, select File -> Download.

Whilst I appreciate your interest I think that my original post quite clearly stated that I was unable to download the scenario and the the DB3000 files although I managed to d/load the others on that page.

With all due respect saying hit the file 'download' button doesn't advance the cause any. I still just get a display of the contents of these mythical(?) zip files: "Community Scenario Package release 003.zip" and "System Descriptions.zip" on the web page but no zip file to download.

Is there another site that I can use?

Why don't you get some sort of filehoster instead (mediafire or so)?
Or get Matrixgames to host them?

One thing to be careful of is that Google docs and using verizon as your ISP can lead to trouble. There is some arrangement between verizon and google that might force you to register differently to take advantage of using docs. I have run afoul of this sometimes at home.

Many thanks for the diagram: all is now clear and both zips have downloaded successfully. And I now know more than I did this morning, so that also can't be entirely bad [:)]

Although it does seem passing strange to have to go through that gyration rather than d/loading a zip file direct from the original page: its the first time I have encountered such a system.
