ANY way to turn off Fog of War?

ANY way to turn off Fog of War?

I have a friend of mine who expressed interest in this game, but he's a newbie--he'd REALLY need to be playing with FOW off to start. Is there ANY way--even adjusting a settings file--to turn FOW off? Thanks.
