High post counts are frequently a sign of the insecure. [:D] Like "Mr. Ed" , we should only speak when we have something to say. [:D]

The real problem is that if you have to point out to us that you made your 10,000th post, then by the very act you immediately become redundant.

It is sort of like Liza Minelli pointing out that she had won an oscar. It just becomes sad hearing it.....[:D]

But, on a bright note, just 3,542 more for me to go. Make sure and mark your calendars.

In our PBEM I will no longer be "Mr. Nice guy". [:D]

Pfft...what are you gonna do about it? Grit your teeth whilest your navy sinks around you? Shake your fist in insolent fury whilest surrendering en masse? Whine about the chow in the POW camp? Run away faster than I can chase? Misspell "hobby" again? [:'(]

John III: This too is how to rack up post counts. Occasional sniping and smack talk in random threads with your PBEM partners. Man, I hope you're taking notes. [:D]

I USED to do that with my Southern Gentleman Friend but, alas, that is not occurring now...

It's late summer 1942. I have all my USN CV's, almost all of my USN BB's, and CA's. Christmas is not far away and I get all kinds of new toys![:D] Hellcats and corsairs and lightning's OH MY! [:D] Essex's and Cleveland's, Fletcher's and NEW BB's, Atlanta's and B-24's. Dude, the running is over. Now let's see how you do in a semi-equal fight! [:D][:D][:D]

Sounds like Steve's "got next!" [:D]

No , not at all. I'm just trying to be fair. Kinda like the kid who gets picked on by the bully warning him he now as a blackbelt,a 357 and a pit bull. You just know the bully's going to try something. He can't help it. [:D]But it's a lot of fun to be able to say "I warned you". [:D]

Ah, you're right. Let's cease offensive operations against one another immediately. Your warning will be heeded. Please don't hit me. We can sing kumbaya together and have a hug-around.

Well, they tried, but the site kept crashing on them. That's why the porn sites offered their support to keep up (erm...) the website. I'm not making it up!

I'm mostly lurker here with a tiny count and I have been on these boards from their launch when I found they were making remakes of Pacwar and Steel Panthers before they even sold their first game. This is my second or third account from various board crashes. So if a huge post count shows no life I must have something resembling a life. When I first joined I was still in the AF in a very busy job and I've been retired 11 years now... I remember when they released their first rework of Steel Panthers, I thought I had died and gone to heaven as I had put a LOT of time in SP and put even more in the remake. Then the same thing happened with Pacwar.

Mullk

I followed a similar path as yours here (SPWAW, UV, WitP, AE). My problem was if I couldn't beat the darned A.I., what chance did I have against a human? but playing PBEM's have improved my game immensely and I've made quite a few friends here, also being retired/retarded helps too. Jump in - the waters great!
