Since you play with so many optional rules I suspect that it is time that Germany familiarize themselves with the Construction Engineers optional rule.

If Germany already had this nailed down I am impressed. [:)] This is one of the rules I tend to forget. [:(]

22.4 Optional units
....
Construction Engineers
You can only use an occupied or conquered red factory, after the first production step that you had an ENG
unit (even disorganized) in that factory hex. [Clarification. This rule also applies to red factories that have been
retaken by their original owner - Jan. 13, 1998.]
Any major port you occupy or conquer is only a minor port until repaired. It is repaired after the first
production step that you had an ENG unit (even disorganized) in that port hex.
[Clarification. A single ENG can repair multiple items in a hex in the same turn (e.g., a major port and a factory) -
Sept. 24, 1997.]

No - you may be unsurprised to hear I did not have that one nailed down...[;)]

Mmmm some weird stuff - I was trying to fly a German aircraft from Germany to Poland and as it crossed Czechoslovakia, the crosshairs turned to a cross like it was an illegal move [X(]

Turn: Jan/Feb 1941
Impulse: 7

The Chinese in the south see the newly arrived Japanese units and decide to abandon their risky surrounding manoeuvre.

Meanwhile the CW are shaping up to attack the retreating Italian forces in Libya.

EDIT: Great, because I did not press cancel attack, the game has automatically gone into that next phase and I cannot get out of it [:@]

I have no choice but to attack. The Italians choose the Assault table and...

But you wham them down in a fast pace. Soon you will be an expert in MWIF. [:)]

Turn: Jan/Feb 1941
Impulse: 9

The Japanese continue their build-up in China.

While the Germans continue moving their few organised units east.

Otherwise, there is nothing to report.

Turn: Jan/Feb 1941

The Cw turn is equally is uneventful - the Chinese continue to prudently withdraw in the face of growing Japanese strength.

In North Africa, the CW has surrounded the disorganised anti-aircraft unit caught between Homs and Benghazi. The CW can only get one unit to fight, but with odds of 5:1 +11 they go for it...

Turn: Jan/Feb 1941
Impulse: 11

The Italians choose the assault table to try and maximise losses for the CW, but it does not good - the Italians are toast and the CW's march on Libya continues.

...and this action concludes the turn.

Turn: Jan/Feb 1941
Impulse: End of Turn

President Roosevelt is getting a tad miffed with the Japanese build up in China.. He orders an embargo on strategic materials to Japan (this reduces Japanese entry to 23 and rises tension to 6.

Roosevelt also agrees to provide resources to the Western Allies.

US Entry now looks like this:

Remember that US needs some tension to gear up and declare war.

First goal should be to get 22 in both US entry pools and 11 in both tension pools so that gear up production can be selected.

Thanks Orm - I'm reading up on US Entry now. AAR has come to a bit of a halt at present due to PP difficulties.

Looking at the US Entry Options chart might actually be more help than reading up on the roles. The notes are especially important.

Right, so the way I get the tension pool up is to choose the entry options? I take it there is no other way of getting the tension pool number up?

And the "Is it time to declare war yet" chart is also of some importance when handling the tension pool.
