Argh!

Post by DaOne »

I already posted the problem in the tech problem topic, but I guess I will get more anwsers if I create a topic for myself.

So here's what happening. I start ToS, start shooting the enemy and bla bla bla....

Then, after some time, some actions should I say, it says autosave2 failed.

If it was just that I don't have the autosave after some time, I wouldn't care, but when I finish the battle, I get this:
Team1 not updated
Read error!
The team is simply not updated, which mean I do this for nothing.

If I restart the game, I can load the last autosave the game took before bugging, so that mean the game can write.

I hope someone can help me...thanks anyway

O.k., before I ask this I know I'm already wrong, :) but...

Can you turn the autosave off?

Well, I don't know if there's a way, else, I would have tried it a long time ago...

The only thing i can think to suggest is to check to make sure that your team file (c:\...wherever you ToS folder is\data\team{1,2,3,4}) isn't set Read-Only, which would, of course, cause various dificulties. I'd check the autosave files as well.

I can't say I've ever encountered this problem myself.

Are you sure you extracted the archive with restoring the subfolders ?

The structure has to be like

Titans of Steel\
data\
docs\
images\
progs\
sounds\
tools\

The error code 2 plainly says : Can not open autosave file for writing.
Usually the autosave file is placed into the data subfolder.
Make sure the folder is not write protected and there is enough space on the disk.

Well, unfortunately, it's not set to read only...

For the structure, it's ok but if there is a Titans of Steel folder where I installed it, I don't have this one.

Titans of Steel ( or any other name ) is the parent folder.

Sorry. I have no clue.
