Out of Supply/Disorganized

Post by LiquidSky »

I was clicking around Japanese land units in China when I noticed that some of my units were Disorganized...before I even moved anything.

Apparently, if you select an OOS land unit, and click on the same hex it is from (thus not moving it), the game considers it to have moved, and disorganizes the counter.

It seems to want to calculate supply everytime you put the counter down. So if I decide to move a counter hex by hex, it may end passing through an OOS hex, and coming to a screeching halt. Shouldn't it just check for supply at the beginning of the movement of the counter? And then at the end of the movement phase?

Press the 'esc' key instead when you want to put a unit back without moving it and the game considers the unit unmoved and thus still organized.

Press down the 'ctrl' key (and left click) when you want to move a unit on a hex by hex basis then the game consider it as one move and supply wont be recalculated untill at the end ov the move.

Seriously? I have to ctrl-click everything? Why? What part of the WIF rules says that a unit is considered to be starting a new move if you let go of it in the middle of moving it?

Its a bug.

Fix it...don't try and Band-Aid it. Or prove to me it is working as per the boardgame.

Using the Units in Hex Form to select multiple units doesn't seem to work properly.

I have to hold the mouse down on a unit and move the mouse off the counter for it to select. Then do the same for another unit..and so on in order to select a large number of counters.

I cant just click on a counter to select it for movement (as per the manual)

The naval review details form works..I can just click on the units....except that when the mouse is no longer over the hex, the units disappear out of the form. I have to move the form adjacent to the hex so I can move the mouse from the hex to the form without touching another hex.

The flyout thingy works though. I can just click a counter to keep selecting a stack. But it is the only one that works. It must be the only thing the playtesters used.

Weeee another bug. I was fighting an air-air combat (during the ground strike phase). The last bomber cleared, so there were no longer any more bombers, but I hit stay when I should have hit abort. So of course, the attacker rolled some dice, getting a result of DA and Voila! Game doesn't allow me to progress.

New Bug:

Chiang HQ for China. Has 2 movement points (Leg). Seems to be spending movement points like it is motorized as it is spending 2 to move into forest. As well, it doesn't seem to use the road for movement.

EDIT: The French Inf-HQ is spending 2 points to move into a clear hex. Perhaps it is not as simple as it is moving like a ARM-HQ.

The weather is clear, so the movement shouldn't be doubled....but then my infantry units are moving correctly.

Check your optional rules for HQ Movement.

It's not a bug. It is intentional that you need to use Ctrl-Left-Click to move through a specific hex path. Supply is checked during movement because it is needed at the moment you want to overrun enemy land units.

Pls move all the overstacking/supply/xy checks into the right places, which is usually the start of relevant action or end of step. This is also producing the "units swapping hexes" problem already. The way it is implemented currently is not correct and leads to problems and annoyances.

When units end their move oos you are also unable to undo that move (can only be cured by reload, see my other thread).
