A few questions about this game

Post by mashkis »

Here are my questions...

1. Does each scenario have a limited number turns or unlimited? If there is a limit, what is the minimum and maximum?
2. Does this game have a better AI versus Commander Europer at War Gold?
3. Is this re-playability within each scenario or once you win it is not worth giving it anothe go?

Thanks.

1. Yes. Each scenario begins in a different year of the war- Grand Campain in 1914,Ypres- Artois in 1915, Verdun in 1916 ect. There are five scenarios including grand campain. Each scenario end at the end of 1918 so this is a WW I from the year you choose.

2. Don't know- I don't like to play with AI- but I heard that it's better.

3. For me every MP game is different- I don't know how it works with AI.

Play testing updated patch build 1.40 as we speak, and yes there are improvements on the 1.30 patch, for one thing the Russian Revolution has been corrected, which was a big problem from the previous version.

What is maximum number of game turns are there for each scenario? I read the max is 118. Is this per scenario or grand campaign?

Are there additional user made scenarios that can increase the re-playability?

There are user made scenario's, I have nearly finished my massive mod for the game, and I have only halted working on it to assist the up and coming 1.40 patch.[:)]

As for Campaign length time wise, the scripts are easy to mod, and it's possible I believe, to create a campaign to last well into the late 1920 - early 1930.[;)]

Thanks guys as I am thinking about getting this and Europe at War Gold on sale.

118 is for Grand Campain, 97 turns for Ypres-Artois (from 1915 to the end in 1918), Verdun 75 turns from 1916 untill end, The Nivelle offensive has 46 turns from 1917, Kaiserschlacht has 21 turns from 1918. Each scenario ends at the end of 1918. Each has different "starting positions" depanding on historical situation.

Thanks guys. I picked-up the game last night. Looks good so far.

Is there a list of user made scenarios?

Also, anyway to change the resolution of the map itself?
