Netplay server down?

Both Bwheatley and I are unable to 'Access Seeking Opponent database' when opening the NetPlay Forum. We're trying to restore a saved game. Approx. 7 hours ago we had been playing and everything was fine. So something has changed recently with that NetPlay Server? Is there someplace to go to check it's status?

It's also crashing the game out as well. I'll have a screenie shortly. Someone needs to bounce the slitherine servers.

The servers are running fine. Is this a new issue? That is, were you able to connect successfully before today?

Yes, both Bill and I played just fine about 9 hours ago. We had to restart a few times due to a few crashes, but could get back into games via NetPlay forum just fine.

Even trying to play Wite w/Slitherine servers i'm getting errno 24 now. :/

Yes, having same issues with the WitE multiplayer connection. Errno #24.

Exactly the same here. Glad to see it's a general problem and not my individual one. I'm having enough other netplay problems when trying to restore saved games.[:-][:-]

One tip Khucke we've found for netplay is you have to restore at the same time. But yea this is just a CtD so something is wonky on the slitherine server side.

Yeah, figured it was global issue with forum. A little more disappointed in how long this server has been down, rather than there being some initial issue. Bill and I have set aside time to play MWif via NetPlay today. Bill and I also have limited free time for gaming together. We also have to account for a 2 hr timezone difference too. Thus, we've already lost 4-5 hrs of gaming/testing time.

I've already mentioned to PipFromSlitherine via pm, that Bill and I are happy to help devs resolve this issue. Assuming we can be of any help. We're both developers by career. [8D]

I think my purchase for $100 deserves some sort of tech support response? Not trying to be mean or bitchy, but just want to play with friend. Please some help here?? Anybody?

I thought this was a different problem based on the message being displayed. It turns out to be something completely different. The old problem had been resolved so I was mistakenly under the impression that this did not need my attention.

I'm working with Slitherine technical people on this, since the problem appears to be at their end.

That's too bad. It looks like PipFromSlitherine was informed of the issue and passed the buck? How does he not have the game installed? Would have taken him few minutes to test the issue and know it's serious? Maybe he has good reason. But seems he passed the buck to 'Steve' and washed his hands of it? The NetPlay option has been down all day, which was my day to play with friend [:(]

Thanks for digging into it. At least me and Ara try to eliminate all options before we post and potentially waste folks times. We had worked on it about two hours this morning before we posted it was an issue.

Any status? Or do you at least have an idea what's going on yet?

The problem has been fixed. I was able to log in successfully a minute ago.
