Where do I find information about the officer concept?

Advanced Tactics is a versatile turn-based strategy system that gives gamers the chance to wage almost any battle in any time period. The initial release focuses on World War II and includes a number of historical scenarios as well as a full editor! This forum supports both the original Advanced Tactics and the new and improved Advanced Tactics: Gold Edition.

I can't find anything in the manual. I am just getting back into this gem of a game

(Correction) Here are some links that may be helpful. Officers would not be in the ATG manual since officers were just added a short time ago via v2.12.
