252 of 1 idle

Post by WarHunter »

Started a new game not using oil. Arrived at the Production phase. Working out the convoy line in hopes if i did it now, there would be few changes.

Like all plans, Montreal decided to screw things up.
Somehow those krazy kanadians are sucking up all the non- oil resources in country. [&:]

It gets worse, 252 factories of 1 are idle. [X(]

This could be awesome or a sign that skynet is taking over. Either way its bad news for the axis and any hopes of world domination.

Looks to be properly calculated though. -4 idle factories, they must be working multiple shifts to bring home the bacon! No spare time for hockey.

I got thinking about this (have seen it before somewhere). A bell says that it might have something to do with trade agreements not being done properly (I'm not sure).

Can you check the following please:

Are there new trade agreement in the game? if so, are they stated correctly in the trade agreement?
Correctly means for example: 1 resource of which there is a minimum of 1 oil.

Something tells me this 251 bug is related to a bug recently found, when German production became all messed up, because in the Trade agreement it wanted to trade 0 resources with 1 oil minimum (which is impossible, of course) to Italy. This sounds like a similar one (but I may be mistaken).

Please, if possible, post a zipped save game from just prior to production.

Since I've begun a new game since last posting this. There is only one save file for this prod bug.
I do hope this file will help squash it.

Save file for Sept/Oct 1939, Prod Plan Prelim Phase. CW current player.

aka the Peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers phase. [:D]

Good Luck

I worked with your file and redid the CW production and got it all to go where it should go, and Montreal was fine again. Yes there's some kind of calculation bug with what was being displayed, but it's not at all fatal. There's a post in WiF School that gives an overview of what I did.

I just loaded in the original saved game provided by WarHunter and Montreal was fine. The summary page matched his post #1 except that I had 64 instead of 80 unused convoys.
