Why do I loose tankers and other aircraft on support missions because they run out of fuel?

In a similar vein I'm having issues with bingo fuel. I think it's down to the large number of aircraft hitting bingo at the same time, so they queue up at the carrier and eventually fall out of the sky [:(] I guess it depends on how the bingo is calculated, but perhaps a bit more leeway is needed?

The following save has a bunch of aircraft on CAP due to run out of fuel in about 30 minutes. I've run it through a couple of times, and each time I lost a few of them due to running out of fuel. I'm currently on B479, but I've seen this since at least B476 IIRC.
