Jim, thanks for keeping an AAR going....are you going to switch to the new patch?

So far, it feels much better; Union has some ability to advance.

Can’t patch up as old saves are not compatible with the new patch, so we’re stuck playing this out as is. I don’t mind, but it does suck not being able to check out the new changes.

This game has come to an end I’m afraid, I’ve laid down my king and conceded defeat. In the most recent turn my opponent moved even more CV into view in the east and I discovered he outnumbers me by about 3-2 in CV there and easily matches me across the rest of the map. Up to this point I had thought I was gaining ground on him in the strength race and would eventually be strong enough to go over to the attack, but this last turn revealed that simply isn’t the case.

Given I’m this far behind after almost 2 years of production that maxed out my available conscripts I estimated it would take another 2 years+ to perhaps get ahead of him and even then I’d be nowhere near strong enough to actually succeed in attacks I made, so I threw in the towel and called the game. It just didn't make sense to game out another 2 years in hopes maybe I might be able to attack then, yet no guarantee I could.
