HQ Support?

Post by dukewacoan »

I've read that if you have an HQ Support unit , you don't need Medical, Signal, etc as they are duplicative. Correct?

So what would the ideal support units be with an Army? Does it help to have them attached at Corps or Div level also? Example, a medical support in a Div or Corps?

It also acts as a Training Master, which adds experience stars to every unit in its stack. However, the stack can't move.

It adds 1 exp point per turn, and it takes 10 to fill a star.

Support units should be attached to Corps, not to an Army once you have Corps. The bigger the stack they are attached to, the greater influence they have.

Would love to hear an answer to the OP's question about whether the HQ unit cancels oout other support units.
Would I still benfit from having a Medical or Signal corps unit in my stack - if there is already an HQ support?

Ok, I read the linked article. I have a better understanding, but I am still a bit confused. Do I need to attach the unit (a HQ unit, for example) to the Corp commander to make him effective? Or just put it in the stack. I assume the former, but it never hurts to ask a stupid question. And if I get a HQ unit working at the Corp level, does that mean divisions within that Corps get bonus? I am looking at the training bonus, but the same info should apply to medical or any other bonus.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

You don’t need to attach the HQ to anyone.

Every units in the stack gets trained.
