Good newbie scenarios?

Post by Kevinorf »

I used to love Harpoon way back in the day, so I just bought this.

So far liking it a lot. Steep learning curve but I'm getting into it.

What are some good small intro scenarios to start with? I did one of the Norway versus USSR scenarios and a few of the Vietnam scenarios and did okay...

Stand Up was the first scenario built and is pretty easy.

South china clash is one of the beginner favorites [:)]

The 1950 Korea scenario is a good way to get a feel for how gunnery works.

Proud newbe owner too[:D] I was wondering same thing. Playing 1st tutorial for now.
...did anyone produce a list/spreadsheet of the stock scenarios with comparisons to complexity, etc.

I saw this type list in other complex games. Helps us new guys.

Be sure to download the Community Scenarios from the WafareSims page - ahem, if you're looking for a good beginning scenario, I humbly suggest my own Lingkod Timog I. [:D]

Stand Up is fun to learn the basics on. If you play as the British, your equipment outclasses the Argies, and you have room to make mistakes and/or experiment. Played as the Argies, it is a much harder challenge.

I have loaded your OP LINGKOD TIMOG using v1.02 and latest DB3000.
When I click on the weapons button for WHEC 715 Hamilton, weapons do not seem to match with what is listed for that ship in DB3000. BRP RAMON ALCARAZ PF-16 shows harpoon range circles. Can you please check if it's just me?
