Gabonese military
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_of_Gabon

This will probably be more "housekeeping" than anything else, making sure things are listed under Gabon, too, so someone using the search function on the database will find them, and know what dates certain platforms were available, as I believe the major platforms are already in the database, and I don't know if any changes were made to any of them. Of course, with some platforms where a lot of variants were produced, the right ones have to be selected.

It's been requested before but I hope to have it for a scenario:

All the Smaller Countries

This is more of a general idea than a specific request. I hope that one of the things planned for the DB3000 and the Cold War Database is that, in the months that follow, when it is convenient to do so, to go through all the smaller countries and add all of the platforms for them, too. Their navies, their air forces, the artillery, etc.

In many cases, I imagine that most or all of the platforms are already in the database; it just needs to have a copy of the entry made with the name changed so it is now, say, an F-5E for Tunisia instead of for Jordan, along with the appropriate dates of service. In other cases, minor changes (sensors, etc.) might have to be made. And in some cases, of course, only a particular country will use a particular ship or aircraft.

My reason for requesting this is simply that it is easier to get the right platforms in a scenario if they have already been identified by someone who probably knows a lot more about these things than I do. :) For example, I'm assuming the F-5E that Tunisia uses is the same version as the Jordan uses, but maybe it's not. Maybe some of the sensors were different. Or the loadouts. Or something. I'd like to be able to use Tunisia in a scenario someday, though, so I'm hoping there will be "official rulings" for all of these things someday.

Thanks for considering this.

Dont know if this has been reported or not, but when looking for Russian anti-surface options I noticed that you only have the export versions of the Klub missiles listed, there should be a domestic version too (with a better range as it is not bound by the treaty covering this class of weapon)

would be appreciated if time was found to add this ship in. there is a little bit of stuff that could be done with the RAN actually.

Australian offshore combatant vessel

Some of the information will have to be guesstimated, as I guess it is not entering service until about 2020, but it is definitely worth adding, if possible.

More about the Sovrenmenny, mention of use of more advanced P-105 Moskit-M from ship number 15. Not mention to change in the SA-N-7 missile system:

The Australian planned offshore combatants haven't even been ordered or paid for and no decision has been made to purchase the Austal design, so for example it could also end up being the National Security Cutter proposed by Hungtington Ingalls instead and we just don't know yet. The 2013 white paper also revised the planned purchase and instead of replacing the Armidale patrol boats, another existing design that is yet to be selected will replace them and then the planned offshore combatantant will replace that further into the future, presumably to save some money.

We also have a new conservative government who has declared the budget is in ruins and has not always been supportive of the Australian shipbuilding industry, espeicially when it comes to defence requirements and the debalce that is the Australian Submarine Corporation, so it also wouldn't surprise me if this project was delayed, scrapped or morphed into something entirely different, especially given border protection is a huge political issue here.

Hi team! I wanted to thank you for changes concerning the ships of the Italian navy, and ask if you could change the icon of the Cavour aircraft carrier, (as the ship is still normal). Finally, if you can add the database for the new naval gun Oto Melara 127/64, mounted on the FREMM and the German frigates F-125. Thank you again! [:)]

a more useful change might be adding the AN/TPS-77 in an Australian variant. At present, my 114MCRU (114th Mobile Control and Reporting Unit) has to use the US variant...

I'm not sure if there are any major differences between the versions used by Sweden and the ones sold to other countries. It looks like a few of the weapons have been changed, though.

Hi Mark

Can you list the top 5 things you'll need in the near the future?

The data entry for this is far different than Harpoon and it can take hours to implement a single platform. Even copying units that seem 1:1 can be a little more time consuming as we must create unique engines, loadouts etc. for them as things often change. We will eventually get to all your requests but would just like to focus time on what you need for now.

Thanks!

Sorry, Mike, I hope I wasn't overwhelming people. I was mostly just trying to find platforms that could be added someday and get them in the queue. I know it will take a while for most of them to get into the databases, but I figure if I don't at least tell people about them they will never get in. I'll try to focus on things I need sooner rather than later from now on, though.

I suppose if I was going to pick one thing, it would be the smaller combatants. One thing I really like about Command is that the detailed gun combat it provides lets you do a lot more with smaller navies, coast guards, etc. It opens up a huge range of possibilities for low intensity conflicts, police actions, etc. So, the more patrol boats, high speed response vessels, drug lord speedboats, OPVs, etc., the better!

As for five specific platforms...

Damen Stan 4207 patrol vessel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damen_Stan ... rol_vessel <-- there's like 40 of these in service in various places around the world; some sub-classes will probably have to be included
http://www.damen.com/en/markets/stan-patrol

Sentinel-class cutter

National Security Cutter

https://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/th ... ers-03614/
http://www.nationaldefensemagazine.org/ ... tters.aspx

And, for Mexico...

Durango-class patrol vessel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durango-cl ... rol_vessel

Oaxaca-class patrol vessel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oaxaca-class_patrol_vessel

And two others, if I can get away with it...

Cessna O-2 Skymaster (Various)

http://www.marchfield.org/o2b.htm
http://nightrustics.org/O-2A.htm

Flight III (and maybe Flight IV) Arleigh Burke-class destroyer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arleigh_Bu ... _destroyer

http://breakingdefense.com/2012/10/navy ... rs-afloat/
https://opencrs.com/document/RL32109/2012-03-02/?26751

And thank you, again, all of you, for all your work on the databases.
