looking for a little help

Post by scottb1393 »

Hi I'm going from my poor memory but here my question. I was playing the south china clash and had a event come up
that i couldn't figure out. i had a p-3 with a harpoon load out attacking one of china's boats, then i did a manual weapon allocation and the p-3 launched as ordered then he continued in toward the ship (basically following the missiles) what i remember aircraft status was showing as a offensive engagement. i tried using the unassign key
then that did nothing i tried an F-3 to manual turn him north and then finally i tried to put him in Loiter mode but i couldn't get him to stop cruising into the target and getting shot down before the harpoons got to there target. i cant remember if he was assigned a mission at the time of launch so i guess I'm asking if there is something i should be looking at/for. the harpoon is a fire and forget weapon be him seemed to have a death wish.

thanks.

Hello,

Any chance you have a save from that situation? If not, can you try it again and save the scenario at the problematic point and upload the save here so that we can examine it?

Thanks!

Also, can you check if you had the "Ignore plotted course when attacking" option checked?

Did you try the command "disengage" ?
