We need players with imagination

Post by Mike Raymond »

WW2 The Big One is a detailed recreation of the whole war. Currently in December 1939, we are very short of players to do it right.

Holland continues to battle while the Nazis have just attacked Belgium. France and Britain can now send help North but there are not enough players to do that.

Join us and command the rescue forces.

Free rules and free play on this pbem game. It is all email.

2014 update. The game web site is very much still active. The rules have been completely re-written to eliminate the need for a game master. Now players can use the rules to run their own games either in solo mode or for many players.

The concept is to permit linkage between and among board and/or miniature play into a massive 'big picture' war game. Every battle now has meaning in the future success of your side. Past results affect the current game outcome.

The rules are a free download. There is a forum on site for discussion, questions, or to recruit players to attempt 'The Big One'.

Just out of curiosity, what are the advantages of this system vs World in Flames?
Germany's unforgivable crime before the Second World War was her attempt to extricate her economy from the world's trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny world finance its opportunity to profit.

To be honest, I've never played WIF so my answer about comparison would be skewed. My game is pretty flexible and free, as another pointed out. My rules are intended to be used 'with' other games such as WIF to enhance them.

I think you'd have to actually read my rules to get the whole concept. I feel comparing mine to other game rules of commercial type would be wrong. I intended to give gamers some options to use with whatever games they are currently enjoying.
