Thanks morejeffs. We've updated well over thirty times [:)] Both of us have lost our forum accounts a few times too. Quite a few house rules, especially on the bully boy Allies [X(]

I have so many games where guys quit on my within a month.

The worst guy in our discussions as part of the setup on houserules made me promise I would never quit.

The fricking wuss disappeared after 5 turns (the KB attacked PH, meandered near Midway and then he came back to attack a few days later..)
My guess is his pilots got slaughtered (as he did not send the final turn....I do not know what happened...but I guess he was shocked).[:(]

Both of you deserve a hell of a lot credit for sticking it out. ![&o]

My friend and I started on 27 June 2008. We may have the record!

I am Japan, and the game date is in late February 1945, of course this is original WITP.

We have seen job changes, relocations, births and deaths (too many) as the game has proceeded. He lives on the East Coast, and we have met for "game summits" on two occasions. A third is in the early planning and discussion phase. During the meets we play WITP extensively; get some fishing in -- but relish the opportunity to eat unhealthy food and consume copious amounts of adult beverages without spousal supervision. Oh, and then there is the smack talk .....

Regards,
Feltan

Yes Felton, looks like we hold the dual records. Is WITP still being updated?

I started a game vs AI at release myself & just got to complete game end in 46. I've started a new one but more just to see the changes from initial release to current for my personal scenario I'm working on.

I've played numerous games in my life, computer or otherwise, but can't think of one that takes such a long time to play as WitP and AE.   Can anyone else?

September 2010 and just at the end of May 1944 currently. I was fortunate in finding a helpful opponent who has taught me a lot. He's generally quicker than I am to reply but I think has at least one other game on the go.

For purposes of this thread, I am not sure playing with yourself counts.

Know your pain. My doctor says I have a multiple personality - of course we do not agree with this! [:D]

I would only start to worry when you consider a 4-player PBEM with yourself...

Just back from orthoscopic knee surgery and the drug induced stupor. Been wondering why the rifleman's rule does not apply when you are wasted and having zombie war your in dreams. Damn if I can figure that one out!!!

July 4th 2012 we started a PBEM mod. We are April 17, 1944 and intend to go through to the end.

Viberpol and I started about one month after AE was released and ended about two months ago on the day of Soviet activation (Aug 1, 1945). Being of unsound mind, we then started another....
