Select-able Contact emissions info feature

Post by Stevechase »

I would like to request a feature be added which allows one to select a particular detected enemy unit and display via text currently all the various emissions your side has detected from it along the detecting unit/s. This would be nice because in some situations it is important to distinguish which of your units is actually the ones providing you with bearing, range, information etc. It would also validate how important certain platforms are such as ELINT. Basically you could see what your sensor units are doing for you. Another method would be: you select YOUR unit and it lists all contacts detected by that platform and detection method (ie. radar, esm, eyeball, etc.).

Command; Lovin it
Thanks

I agree that this would be a great feature to have.

Could make it a selectable option like "Show Vectors" or "Illumanated Targets" in the map settings window with a line extending from the contact to your detecting unit/s.

*bump* Any roadmap for this feature?
I'm really missing the ability to manually classify contacts based on which sensors have detected them. For instance, if a goblin detected by Active sonar also shows up on MAD - then it's quite likely NOT a school of tuna (unless they're pre-canned).

Additional data such as signal strength if available would also be of interest..

I agree this would be a good feature. More info=better, and it would help also teach you what platforms can do what. I'm not an expert on this stuff, and need all the feedback I can get!

A great idea! This would be particularly useful for trying to determine whether submerged contacts have been detected by MAD (probably real sub) or not (probably false/biological).
