Slow responds after mouse clicks.

Post by btd64 »

This has been an issue for a while and I thought I saw this somewhere, but it takes about 6 seconds for info to appear after a click of the mouse. Any ideas.
Cheers

It's a DirectX problem with multi-core processors. Almost everyone sees this. You need to use the command line switches.

Bill, any suggestions on with one. I only use -fd right now. Not sure which one

Found some of the switches. Should I use -fd -singlecpuorders
I put -fd at the end. Do I set it up as above?

-singlecpuorders may work. Each computer is different. -cpux (where x is one of the cores) sets the game to always use one core. That may slow down turn processing, but it is the most likely to work.

Thanks Bill. I looked in the readme file and found this also, but it still lags a bit during Mission set. for example, sub patrols. not a big issue anymore thought, but if there is something else, let me know please. Thanks again.

Have you tried some of the other switches?

I use -cpu2 -multiaudio -dd_sw for my Intel processor. You need to try different combinations to see what works.

EHansen, I just tried the "-dd_sw" switch. Worked like a charm. I have added the string I use to the bottom of this post just in case someone with similar system specs as mine is having a problem. Thanks Bill and EHansen.[:)]
