Why can't I give ground support?

Post by Mayhemizer_slith »

Please tell a noob why my bf109 can't give ground support to adjacent hex?

There are no bombers in range, but shouldn't my fighter be able to give 0,5 points anyway?

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Did you try to right click on it and tell it to Fly as a Bomber first?

Game just skipped the ground support phase, it was not possible. I even turned on CAP for ground support and game skipped that phase too.

Weather is fine. It is clearly in supply as HQ is next to it.

Fighter should be able to ground strike, shouldn't it? I posted this first here if there is some rule I was not familiar with. Maybe I should make a bug report?

I tested attacking other hexes too. Now one of my stukas is in range, not sure it that helped or the fact that I was attacking bf109's hex too but it was able to give ground support.

After delivering 1 point ground support to the forest game crashed though [&:]

Edit: artillery grounded forest hex next to it.

With these two attacks I was able to use both artillery and bf109. I used only bf109 and everything worked out normally.

Now... How do I get this topic to Tech Support for bug reporting? I will send saved game to MadExcept@MatrixGames.com

This thread should be moved to the Tech Support subforum.

It looks like a bug that the program skips the entire ground support phase when a FTR is the only aircraft available for ground support.

Edit: An administor will move this thread eventually.
