Using 1.04b and having hardly any PP?

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Using 1.04b and having hardly any PP?

Post by firefly101 »

Hello,

I looked around but couldn't find an answer to this problem.

I am playing the Grand Campaign with the 1.04beta patch. I am noticing that I am getting hardly ANY PP, I see in the reports I should be getting 132pp but I see if lucky 0-8pp.

Is this a feature to slow the German advance and will it increase or have I found a bug with the patch or campaign? Sorry to ask this if its buried somewhere else, but doing a search I couldn't find a thread with the answer.

I am finding though that Fury is a big step up from Wrath in terms of features and such. If any of the Dev team float around here I want to say thanks for their hard work and the game. :-)

There are some design decisions that may seem odd and sometimes PP levels are used in scenarios to control some nations, this may be over used by the game. You can use the F12 key to access a nation's PP and DP account and add, or subtract PPs. It is a way of modding scenarios without changing data files, for instance some of the minor nations have no strategic movement points, which means they cannot use rail, obviously these nations did move units around by rail and you can add PPs to buy STPs, etc. to adjust the scenario at the start.

Ok that helps. I noticed sometimes my PP is high and then low. I know there is some upkeep which seems a little high compared to ToW.

I find the PP level swings for no apparent reason, there are game events which trigger and change PP levels, but if it's going to break a game, you can re-adjust with F12.

Yes the F12 is very helpful. lol I've used it a couple times on that NO SMP bug which should have just been reduced 3 points and instead went to 0. lol

Yup, the game has lots of holes, but there is usually a way to work around.

Hello,
The "PP's" for me is a very big bug.The introduction of "maintenance" was a disaster, in my opinion. I understand the reason of designers, but I very disappointed, there is no way to calculate the correct pp evry turn in a simple way.... I leave up the game for this reason.....
F12 is a poor solutions for me, because you cannot know a "correct" amount of PP points. And you can't modify the PP points of all nations, I want the same conditions for all nations.....

Two question:
1) Developers are thinking about a "bottom" to eliminate the problem of maintenance?
2) We will a new version in next time? In the last year i checked but i have no notice.....
Thanks
